Personal Profile

Sheila Searfoss, MS, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor in the State of Missouri.  She is a certified Psychological Examiner (K-I 2), school Counselor (K-I 2), and teacher of Elementary Education (K-8).  Sheila has been an educator for over 30 years and a clinical therapist for more than 17 years.  She earned her Master of Science in Counseling from Central Missouri State University, in Warrensburg, MO, and her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Central Methodist College, in Fayette, MO.  She has served as an Officer, and on the Board of Directors, of the Missouri Association of Home Based Services. She currently resides in Columbia, MO.

Areas of Services

Sheila Searfoss is the President and owner of Family Facets.  She has served as the Executive Director of the agency since its inception in 1998.

Sheila currently serves as the Family Facets Program Director for the Intensive In-home Services program, and has experience as an IIS-IFRS Specialist and IIS-IFRS Supervisor.

Sheila also serves as the Family Facets Training Program Director.  This Training Program includes Missouri Children’s Division staff and private contract vendor staff in Missouri, for both IIS/FRS model trainings, as well as Family Centered Services trainings. 

Sheila is a Developer and a Trainer for the Missouri Children's Division Staff Trainings, and develops trainings for the Missouri Children’s Division Staff for the IIS/FRS model.  She has developed specialized trainings, and has worked as part of the State Children's Division Training Unit to develop training curriculum for IIS/FRS since 1998, and continues to be actively involved in presenting and developing trainings.

Sheila has served Family Facets as a Foster Care and Adoption Trainer using the STARS and Spaulding Model, and has developed and presented individualized in-service trainings for Foster Care and Adoptive parents.

Sheila has also served for a number of years as a Presenter for National Family Preservation Network, serving as a Fatherhood Trainer and NCFAS Trainer.
